Caring for the Environment
The members of the meat and poultry industry recognize that they have an ethical responsibility to protect the environment in which they operate. By protecting it, they can sustain it for the long term. The American Meat Institute Board voted to make environmental issues “non-competitive.” In doing so, companies are obligated to share good ideas and practices with one another so that the industry will continually improve and the environment will be well-protected.
